When patients come in for euthanasia appointments I have absolutely no idea how to act because I’m terrified of making the experience anything other than exactly what they hope for it to be.

It absolutely rips my heart out every single time.

(They almost always want a hug 🥹🤍)

I think I want to spend the rest of my birthday at the creek with the dogs.

Just gotta run by the animal hospital & suture my dog up first 🙃

Meeting a coworker to vaccinate foster kittens.
Going by the animal hospital to tighten a suture.
Chillin’ with one of my favorites & adopting a kitten to her.
Tattoo appointment.

I am thankful that I recognize how grateful I should be, too. It’s easy to let the negativity consume you.

& win.
Make a conscious effort to be happy & kind.
Then be thankful that you’re working on being your best self.
& be proud.
As you should.

I was reminded of a few things today, both good & bad.

One thing that stands out to me though is how deeply grateful I am.
Whether it’s a great friend, a pet that brings me a joy, loving my job(s), feeling good about who I am, having amazing coworkers…

I am so grateful.
For so much.
