Building a fake-free Internet @ OpenOrigins

4/5 Today, generative AI is disrupting content credibility across industries. Synthetic media is indistinguishable from real content. I'm confident the solution we've built at OpenOrigins is the key to navigating this AI-infused future. 🔐
3/5 When I started OpenOrigins, generative AI wasn't a buzzword, it was just a research concept. Little did we know the chaos it would soon unleash on trust across the web. 🌐 #GenerativeAI #AITrust
2/5 Big thanks to Amy Webb & team for recognizing our work in an increasingly AI-dominated Internet. It’s incredibly humbling. 🤖💡 #AI #FutureTrends
1/5 What an absolute honor! 🤯
I’ve been named a Pioneer & Power Player in FTSG's 2025 Future Trends report for my work at OpenOrigins securing the world’s media flows. 🌍🎉 #FTSG2025
his has potential applications beyond our specific use case and could enable blockchains to be used in scenarios where they were previously… slow as hell. More details coming soon! (5/5)
we designed a method to dynamically scale our blockchain. We call this the Breathing Blockchain. This involves scaling the computers, network bandwidth, and consensus algorithm when demand is high, and then scaling down to conserve energy when it's low (4/5)
In data storage terms, a blockchain is basically driving a Ford F450 to pick up a bag of milk! We were trying to onboard massive amounts of media onto our blockchain but if we were to use an off-the-shelf blockchain, this would have taken months (3/5)
Blockchains are very secure and append-only, and all of those good things but… they're quite an inefficient store of data. A single database is significantly more performant, as blockchains require a lot more messaging and data replication across multiple computers. (2/5)
