Okay so I got this 8 USD Kamen Rider Ark-One knockoff, and it's very much a low quality figure (and repaint of MetalCluster Hopper), but somehow the photos were still deceptive cause it looks like Figuarts. Turns out that's a whole separate knockoff?? This is a copy of a copy then, wild lol

Probably not a new phenomenon, but with how Lego raises prices, and this new gimmick planned in 2026 that will likely make things even more expensive for little payoff, it's interesting to see more people go "Check out this other Lego-like brand that's more affordable and is good quality!"

AliExpress is one of the sites where importing isn't theoretically bad in 2025 because they've taken care of the tariff payment themselves, but maaan half the things I've gotten this year run into the same USPS issue of "Package could not be delivered due to incomplete address".

Something I've been meaning to do is more Wordpress posts about toy customs. It's just a matter of figuring out how to go about posting the many years of random things. Like, I don't have a lot to say about something I made several years ago, so maybe I'd make "Customs made in 2018" type posts?

Something that I really enjoy about the look of Metal Cardbots, which frankly will probably bleed over into how I design robots now, is the display screen eyes that do a LOT of work to make them expressive when they have no visible face. It's a fun simple look.

Been getting into Metal Cardbot. Since the Singaporean English dub isn't my favorite, I tried dubbing in a couple bot voices. Ignore the human child, I had to say some lines and they aren't great.
Voice effects are a bit too heavy, might experiment if I do more clips.
