It’s been about a year since I got the Harvey Ambassador C14 bandsaw and the Compass RG-2 Roller Guide. Really a great addition to the bandsaw for keeping consistent pressure against the fence.

I'm unboxing the New Einstar 2 3D scanner. This is a brand new scanner that can be run wirelessly or wired to your computer. This can create scans of a variety of items from people to metal objects, including black or reflective objects.

Using a 1/16” diameter ball nose end mill to run the finishing pass on this Millennium Falcon tray. I generated the tool paths in Vectric CNC software. The Redline spindle was running at 200 ipm. I will cut the tray loose and do a sanding.

The next Millennium Falcon catch all tray is going to be made of cherry wood. I’m flattening this on the OneFinity CNC using an Xbox game pad with the Redline CNC controller. I’m using the Ripper flattening bit from high country tools.

The next Millennium Falcon catch all tray is going to be made of cherry wood. I’m flattening this on the OneFinity CNC using an Xbox game pad with the Redline CNC controller. I’m using the Ripper flattening bit from high country tools.

Here are the three bears for comparison. One is the original that my grandfather carved 51 years ago, one is a 3D printed version, and one is the one I just carved on the Onefinity CNC with the Redline CNC controller and spindle.

I'm carving a catch all tray tonight and wanted to point out how great the Rowdy Roman Swinger dust boot works. I have a Foreman Elite Onefinity with the Redline Controller and Spindle. This dust boot picks up just about everything.

One thing I started doing a long time ago was doing a finish sanding on a satin finish with a small piece of paper bag. It always helps that finish feel much smoother by knocking down the little nibs that might be sticking up. Give it a try.

Time to cut off the back piece from the 3D carve on the Onefinity CNC using the Harvey C14 bandsaw. The file was created in Vectric CNC software after scanning the original bear using the Einstar Vega 3D scanner.

We recently had a power outage and I was glad to have the Yoshino B2000 power station. We had a windstorm with heavy rain come through in the middle of the night that knocked the power out at 3am.

Now it’s time to use the 1/16-inch diameter, bullnose and mill for the finishing pass on this bar carving. There isn’t much material to take off in the finishing pass since the roughing pass takes most of it off.

This was scanned with the Einstar Vega scanner and then brought into Vectric CNC software for the carve. I really like the visualization of carving in the software as it will show the roughing and detail pass.

I used Carveco CNC software with my Onefinity CNC to carve out the Onefinity Logo and the Redline CNC logo. I just added the Redline CNC spindle Controller to my Onefinity.

It's football season and that means tailgating. We are getting a lot of great use out of the Yoshino B2000 power station and used it at the last college tailgate to run a big crockpot on high for shredded chicken sandwiches.

It's time to try out the rotary attachment for the Laserpecker LP4 laser. This lets you engrave round or cylindrical objects like this stainless steel pint tumbler. You expand the jaws of the rotary inside the end of the tumbler.

The Laserpecker LP 4 laser did great on initial engraving so I thought I would try it out on a slate coaster. With winter and the holidays coming up I thought I would try a snowflake pattern on the coaster. For this I am using the 10 watt blue diode laser in the machine.

I was way past due to paint this Mandalorian helmet for my son. I taped everything off that was staying the gold color with green frog tape and then painted all of the accents a bright red. I'm pretty happy how this turned out.
