Very sweet!
The first mass-produced book to deviate from a rectilinear format, at least in the United States, is thought to be this beautiful 1863 edition of Red Riding Hood, published by Boston-based publisher Louis Prang. Leaf through its person-shaped pages here: https://buff.ly/2xngjiv
Toronto contemporary artist, Ed Burtynsky, has been photographing the horrible beauty of industry around the globe for forty years. Here is great podcast where he shares his views on our “human engagement” on this planet.

William Kentridge is one of my favourite artists. Hauser & Wirth is hosting, William Kentridge: A Natural History of the Studio in New York. For those of us who can’t (or won’t) travel to the United States, the gallery has provided an excellent virtual tour.

Contemporary art biennales in small, faraway places. Here is one, this summer, in Bonavista, Newfoundland. String Games features exhibitions and events with artists from other far and away places in Hawai’i, Norway, Japan, Greenland, Sweden, and Canada’s north.
