I can't tell you how heartbreaking this is. Nelvana has been one of the unsung heroes of western animation. and to have them abandoned so quietly and unceremoniously is an extremely bad sign for animation in general.

Not officially confirmed but Nelvana, one of Canada's most storied animation studios, appears to have quietly closed down on Friday, yet another casualty of Corus Entertainment's struggle to survive.

FortierMorghan on Twitter: There is no news about this. No announcements. But Nelvana closed its doors today. My dad worked there. It was, to a great extent, the playground I grew up in. It breaks my heart where the industry is going. This company deserved better announcement around this. Better celebration of its contribution to the Canadian entertainment system. But just…. nothing.

Some know this animation studio for their work on Rock & Rule, Star Wars Holiday Special, Droids and Ewoks. I knew them for incredible 90s shows that captured my imagination as a child.

As a teen in 2006, Nelvana gave me my first foray into professional voice over with Lab Rat in Grossology, my first and only anime roles as Zeo in Beyblade: Metal Masters and Wynton Bakugan: Battle Planet, along with countless other productions up until this past year.

I've begun my journey to learn davinci resolve after dealing with avid media composer and abobe premiere for an unacceptable amount of time.
First hours:
Me: This looks pretty intuitive so far! I'm doing good.

I just had to cancel adobe. They tried to charge me 360 dollars for a subscription cancellation but I have a method you might want to look at:
Start to cancel.
Change your subscription to the cheaper one (lightbox is about 10 bucks a month)
after you change your subscription, cancel it for free.
