Went to art school, struggled because of undiagnosed ADHD, chose a completely different career because it was safe, unioned and well paid. Found out I loved all the gross stuff and most patients are cool people. So I'm half-time nurse, half-time artist now.

So last sunday we went to see @tommorelloofficial.bsky.social's music and storytelling evening and he finished with This Land is Your Land by Woody Guthrie. Now Woody is not really well-known to french Canadians, older folks didn't understand english at all and Quebec had their own folk singers.

A work buddy surprised me with this beauty from an estate sale. I'm lapsed Catholic but catholicism is so ingrained in my province's culture, I'm fascinated by those clearly handmade folk pieces. I'm thinking of replacing the flowers for fresher ones, and using it to show my relics collection...
