The problem with brilliant people is that they lack the social skills needed to network and get to high positions. Sometimes in work charisma triumphs intelligence for better and for worse. Charisma can make or break your career.

The other problem with this is that it’s made some people assume literally everybody is an incompetent grifter, when there are in fact tons of brilliant, genuine experts with incredibly valuable skills - they’re just way too rarely in powerful positions.
I do wonder how much of the chaos of our current moment has to do with the sudden, chaotic societal realization that the vast majority (if not all) of the people in power are mediocre dinguses who got lucky

I would say I prefer classic fantasy art over modern. I like how stylized it and and how it shows the idealized human form. Some Modern art is fine but feels crude and a decline of what has been. Modern arts bodies feel warped and misshaped. #ttrpg #dnd #fantasy #roleplay #fantasyart
