I spent a good chunk of my 2020-2021 lockdown time self-recording an album where I played and sang pretty much everything (a few was pals added their musical goodness) and did it all in my bedroom (bow chikka bowwww!) in San Francisco. That album is called ‘Some Bodies’ and it’s almost 4 years old!
Kristin Gundred aka Dee Dee Penny aka Kristin Kontrol wrote a perfect album about grief and loss after the death of her mother. It’s an album that meant so much to me when my dad died in 2008 and I’ve been returning to it in grieving my mother. This is one of several songs that resonate for me.

It’s rare that a movie makes me furious for the time spent watching it, but what a giant fucking waste of time Barbarian was, holy crap. How on earth was this movie so hyped? It was laughably bad that I can’t believe the same writer/director made Weapons, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Absolute trash.

Saw @sleater-kinney.bsky.social for thr 30th time tonight and it was as thrilling, incendiary, joyous and vital as the first time I saw them back in 1995. Carrie mentioned hoping to provide catharsis and, after losing my mother just 46 days ago, it was exactly as cathartic as I needed. Grateful.

A) This video will make it seem like I only wear one outfit when I play guitar, but it’s just a default of pajamas 😅 B) Does this sound like it’s from a known song? It felt familiar as soon as I played it but I can’t say from where. But I like it.
