THREE FULL DAYS and they still couldn't get the timing right on a single-cam inline-4. What. The. Fuck. Had to limp it home with 30hp while hoping I wasn't burning valves or some shit. Done going there for anything more than A/C service and alignments, I guess.

Brought the Jetta to a friendly shop in preparation for next week's road/track trip but sadly the job is taking more than twice the expected time to be completed... I think they broke a plastic coolant fitting. But it'll be good to finally have a timing belt that is actually, er, working properly.

The Hartford Long John Silver's/Taco Bell is now only the latter so I am concerned about the status of the Plainville LJS/TB. Somebody please check for me that it's not getting remodeled in the same fashion
