Immigration was not so much of a concern until benefits became involved. I came across a similar account suggesting that the border between the US and Mexico remained fluid until social security benefits became a factor. People worked and traveled and returned home undisturbed.

Millions of dollars spent to destroy a $500 boat a nonthreatening people to stoke the ego of Trump and shake down Venezuela. What is it that Trump wants? A cut of the drug trade, oil profits, coffee? This is about money not security.

The Feds, LA County is (correctly) saying, have CAUSED the emergency.

This is a striking political moment of internal collapse. Local govts feeling compelled to protect their ppl from … their own govt.

Charlie Kirk was not an American in the sense that normal people consider an American; Kirk was a fascist White Christian Nationalist. Fascism has no place in America. Particularly ironic is the awarding of the anti-fascist Medal of Freedom to a fascist. One more way Trump defiles the honorable.
