Your post is the perfect epitome of what I am trying to say: you people get so stuck up on what you consider flaws on Dem candidates that you hand the election to the GOP.

If all this makes you feel better and empowered - fine. But if you think an LGBTQ candidate will win Georgia and Alabama, we have to agree to disagree. I don't get off on saying "told you so", but when it comes to Harris, I could say exactly that. And I don't want to have to say that again in 2028.

Mamdani (which I appreciate winning btw) got "only" 50% of the vote. A corrupt sex offender and a psycho got the other 50%. Any "normal" Dem candidate would have probably won with 70% against Sliwa without Cuomo in the race. Dems are idiots when they still think that they can let ppl like Cuomo run

Sorry, but this is not what I said. Don't twist my words. Obama being black was what enabled the GOP/Trump etc to resurrect and instrumentalize the racism that was always lingering in the American society. If that wasn't clear before through the way I worded it, then maybe it is now.

(2/3) I don't need to explain the electoral college to you, a Dem will only be president when he/she/they win states like Georgia, Pennsylvania etc. It will not matter how high you win California. You need a candidate that wins the swing states. This was Biden - this was not Clinton or Harris.

Alienating people who - like me - actually care and always treated all my queer friends the same way I treat my hetero friends is the absolut last thing you should do. I answered to the person who wouldn't vote for Newsom (in case he'd be candidate - which I doubt). Because people who refuse to vote for the "lesser evil" are exactly the reason why you have Trump. I care about every good person but I care more about the state of the planet in general.

Yell at me as much as you want. But you should rather look at the reality that neither a white nor a black woman won against Trump. And that Obamas win unleashed a new wave of racism that also helped Trump. Now the question is: do you want to undo Trumps policies or do you want to lose again?

Queers are a tiny number and mostly in blue states. Dems need a candidate that wins Georgia, Pennsylvania etc. The states Biden won. Dems will never win an election with a black, female, queer, whatever candidate. It's time all you super picky "I only elect a 100% candidate" ppl understand that.

Allein die Affären rund um Blažek - ausgerechnet aus der Partei, die früher immer in jede Korruption irgendwie verwickelt war und vollmundig versprochen hatte, dass das nicht mehr passieren wird. Ist hier wirklich nicht einfach eine Partei zu finden, die man mit ruhigem Gewissen wählen kann.
