Tak! Beware of falling nuts. Autumn is here. Crows pickup nuts, fly up in the air and drop them over hard ground. The nut cracks open and the crows are festing on walnuts. Their cleverness is amazing.

2/2 - The beard shadow on the lady, you ask? Well, I needed that for a male person on the same art work. Since I only drew the lady, I used her for finding a good colour for a beard shadow. And besides that: 🏳️‍🌈😉

When I work on originals, I usually have a second drawing on stand-by. For that, I ink someof the details, like the business woman that you can see here. It's my playground for trying out stuff.

My illustration agency asked me whether I'd like to contribute to their regular Friday newsletter. On one condition: it must suit their motto "hands in the air, the week ends now".

I immediately envisioned a character with silly little hands. The world can always use another T-Rex.

Nein, den Ahab kannte ich nicht. Der hätte nur die Hälfte gekostet :). Die unterschiedliche Strichstärken habe ich händisch erzeugt - durch Nachfahren an den Stellen, die dicker werden sollen. Also etwas hinterwäldlerisch. Aber eben mit wasserfester Tusche

Danke für den Tipp. Erster Eindruck ist gut; ob ich ihn aufs Dauer für meine Zeichnungen verwenden werde, mal schauen. Ich habe ihn mir in erster Linie fürs Urban SKetching gekauft. Und prompt war die zweite Zeichnung gleich eine in meinem Comic Stil mit fetter Outline. Das Dino Skelett, auf Insta.

Am 5. und 6. Juli findet in Gönnheim der 3. Pfälzer Comic-Salon statt, der sich in kurzer Zeit zu einem Geheimtipp in der deutschen Comic Szene gemausert hat. Parallel dazu findet das Streetart Festival statt.

Remember my cyclopath from early May? I recently started another version of the character.

As you can see, the cyclopath has opened a shop of his own in the meantime. Apparantly, business is picking up 😎.

This Wednesday, I completed the watercolour of the "phare du coq", located at Benodet, departement #finistère in #breizh.

I tried to capture the popping colours of my photo. Pic 2 ink with some basic colour, pic 3 the real stuff.

Complete the 2nd tutorial by Matty Burnham - the motive is simply called "lighthouse". Pic 3 shows Matty's result, pic 4 is the reference dutch lighthouse.

The study version for the last motive "the bothy". I played with my way of doing outlines: less perfectionism and more loose style. Initially, I used this version for working on a smooth colour transition for the sky.
