I read about it in several places yesterday. I think at least one of two were mainstream press.

It's a *remnant* of a typhoon. All the moisture plus the winds that the polar regions are notorious for. High tides were also involved.

That's why my No Kings sign still says, "Denying due process for anyone threatens YOU."

Once a week for three weeks in a row, the nurses let us have a wheelchair race down the center aisle. It was so much fun for us! I won, twice. And the women enjoyed watching us. 😀👩🏻‍🦽👩🏻‍🦽👩🏻‍🦽

☺️ Reminds me of the highlight of my tenth summer, spent the the hospital for two hip surgeries (the first one failed). There were three of us girls 10-11 to in the women's surgical ward for orthopedic procedures, in a military hospital. It a long room with beds along the sides and privacy curtains.

Sadly, I think you're right that most Americans are not prepared to look at the entire person rather than one small aspect of their life. I'd be more upset if I didn't believe that Pete would be best as Secretary of State, to help repair diplomatic relationships after this current administration.

Correct anatomy and physiology would add at least a little credence to their opinions. But, no....

"Gobbling Tylenol"? Or did she just take one dose per label instructions, while on camera?

Certainly not harmful to eat a little, now and again...

It's really high school American History level knowledge. At least it was in the late 1970s when I took the junior year class.

As a committed, liberal, evangelical Christian, I fully agree with you. Whenever religion and government become entwined, both are corrupted and become oppressive. Any religion and any government, throughout history.

I've read reports from "moderate conservative" preachers that their congregations were extremely upset when they gave a "liberal woke" homily on the Sermon on the Mount. At least some of them are considering what this means for the spiritual lives of their churches. (I'm a member of an ELCA church.)

The stakes are high and the time is now.

Trump's militarized crackdown on dissent is a threat to our very democracy.

October 18 we stand against authoritarian overreach and we send a LOUD message: #NoKings app.sosha.ai/s/UZMsCT3n
A poster reading, "We the people say no kings." The text "we the people" is in the same font as The Constitution of the United States of America. There are also two black drawn crowns which are crossed out with red X marks.

I'm sure if I had an Apple watch it would think I'm falling when I venture a few steps without walker (mostly in the bathroom, because my walker cannot fit). I was born with lower limb developmental dysplasias.

In my science classroom library, the most stolen book was The Hot Zone by Richard Preston. I was the ASB advisor for a lunchtime student led Bible study, but a local church provided paperback Bibles for the students to use. They were replenished regularly.
