This is sounding very Nazi now. That's what they did to the Jews during the Holocaust is this where they are now treating asylum seekers as sub-human? So Labour wants to be Nazis now. Don't tell them they aren't as bad as the Tories or Reform. #StarmerOut #LabourNazis
The Sun has been told Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood will on Monday propose confiscating jewellery, watches, necklaces from asylum seekers to meet asylum costs

This reflects the most controversial aspect of the Danish scheme - the Jewellery Law. The toughest Labour MPs thought this was OTT

While the mainstream discussions are depressingly about *how* best to remove and stop immigrants, it’s a revolutionary act nowadays to say that immigration is actually a positive thing and an essential component of a thriving country, so please join me in doing so!

This government has said the UK is "the destination of choice" for asylum seekers in Europe. That is simply untrue.

Now saying: claims in the UK are rising, while they are falling across Europe. Accurate of Germany (the destination of choice), of France (still more claims than UK), but not Spain

Support for people seeking asylum is already highly restricted. What Mahmood is effectively talking about is putting people in more precarious positions and forcing them to sell whatever they may have managed to save when fleeing for their lives.

Morally awful, administratively impossible & expensive.. and politically, the reverse of Starmer's panicked conference speech. A govt completely at sea, terrified & incoherent, throwing basic principles overboard in desperation

Shabana Mahmood is expected to say the era of permanent protection for refugees is over, in major changes to the UK's asylum and immigration system.

If you are going to claim you didn’t incite an insurrection then perhaps best not to incite an insurrection in front of tv cameras and especially if you don’t have a current tv licence!

Is it possible for anyone with a reputation already in the toilet to claim your reputation has suffered anyway?

The BBC belongs to the government of the day. The rest of the population merely fund it’s obsession with WW2, the Royal Family and Nigel Farage
The BBC isn't perfect, but it belongs to Britain not Trump.

Political leaders across the UK must unite in defending its independence from the White House.

We must all call out the racism when we see it. We all have a responsibility not to let this escalate. Whether it's politicians, media, or John flagshagging down the pub. We all have a responsibility to stand up for our beautiful diverse country and don't give these racists space to operate.

¿La culpa de los fallos en el cribado? De ellas, que no avisaron.

¿La alarma social? Su culpa, y no del sistema que las ha fallado.

Inaceptable. ¿Cuánto más va a permitir Feijóo esta aberración?

When millions lost power in Spain and Portugal this spring, some were quick to blame too much solar and wind power. That wasn't the cause, but the misinformation had an impact.
