More SSTV from space. My AOS predictions suggest late evening passes over London. This is an easy event to participate in: you need an HT on 145.8 Mhz and a phone with an SSTV app.
You know that Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) was the first educational payload on the station! So we are going to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the ISS in style!

Get ready for an SSTV event covering parts of 9 days! It's scheduled to kick off on Wed. November 12.
an M9 in the wild :)

first one i have actually seen on FT9
and it gets worse

oh no kevin the carrot in an xmas advert now :(

not sure people outside the UK will understand that :)
"now here it is merry @£$$ing XMAS"

yep, its either that or the miserable songs

turn the telly off, put a duff set of batteries in the remote and say to the other half, "sorry no spare batteries and the remotes dead, and all shops are shut" :)
i rarely eat chocolate

become to expensive, i must have some form of tight arse scot inside me coming to the surface :)
yeah, i got my stollen bites a couple of weeks ago,

but to see the supermarket xmas adverts this early is a bit much
i must change my image to the grinch, just seen the 1st supermarket xmas advert on TV,

really!!!!

Its only 2nd of november
is it me or are the bands pretty crap tonight?

very little on FT8/4 10m down to 40m :(
pot, kettle black?

having the national guard on the streets? and the proud boys off the leash dressed in ICE uniforms isn't civil war?
question is

how durable is the engraving? or does it need to be sealed with varnish etc?
don't give me ideas :)

i have two slate coasters on my desk and a laser cutter / engraver sat on the side :)
What we can do that #AI cannot do?

not take wild stabs at what we think an answer is, and make shit up
we can also add up reliably
if you are buying either now, the answer would be the X6200 as it resolves the biggest issue of battery due heat, as it has a removable battery
#3dPrint #Xiegu #x6100

so work in progress, i have finally got my 3d printer issues resolved and got a good print of my back panel for my Xiegu X61100

just got the wiring to do, and buy some batteries
looking at 3 cell RC car batteries and link in as 12v, that way i get 10w power in the field
#POTA
not only got my 25 DX entities today,

i just got my 200 park Hunter Award :)
got my #POTA 25 DX entities award :)
And got the confirmation on QRZ :)
#Xiegu #X6100 #3dPrint
final print of the new fan back plat for my Xiegu X6100
#FT4 #NewZealand

taken 5 years but finally got a QSO with New Zealnd :)
#arduino #ai

any arduino people out there got their hands on one of the new arduino Q boards?

how useful is the AI capabilities of the board?

what are your thoughts on the new IDE for it?

is the 4GB board worth th little bit extra price?

any limits or things you can't do with the 2GB board?
now got to redo all the calibration for x/y/z axis :(
swapped out the bearing, now much better

but where i had messed around with retraction setting some of my supports are not printing correct, but the surfaces are way better
#3dprint #ANET

so just discovered why my Anet A8 3d printer was producing rubbish prints all of a sudden

the X axis linear bearing had failed

so have replaced them and running a first print

seems better, no play in the hot end carriage now :)
don't you remember

"it all about the art of screwing up the deal"

and trump is a world class artist in that category
final print failed, looks like the temp was about 10deg C to hot as a lot of stringing, was a new reel of filament a brand i had used before so didn't do a temp test :(

will do a temp test tower in the morning then rerun print with lower temp
