It's totally true that Jared Leto can't open a movie, but a massive stretch to blame him specifically for the cancellation of the DC Snyderverse or Sony Spider-villainverse.
It should be embarrassing to major media that South Park just made more of the connection between JD Vance and Peter Thiel (and the latter's insane views) than any average news show has.
That's why you're one of the best editors. Some sites think their reputation as tastemakers is on the line.
I'm gonna vary this meme slightly and say "Quote this with the first four Horror SEQUELS that come to your mind that are 10/10s for you. No cheating. Just the first four that pop into your head."

Terrifier 2
Evil Dead 2
Nightmare on Elm Street 3
Saw III
Seemingly a hot take, but if there are to be more Nightmare on Elm Street movies, don't replace Freddy. Movies 6 and 7 have given ample avenues to create a new avatar of dream evil canonically. Let Robert Englund retire his character.
I got a LOT of pushback from an editor recently for suggesting The Flintstones was a good movie. But I stand by it, and honestly, many live-action Hanna Barbera movies have been decent. Josie & both Scoobys too.

The problem with the Peacemaker season 2 finale isn't some lack of big cameos. It's that, at a certain point, it became clear there was no way it would resolve the central Flagg/Peacemaker conflict in any satisfying manner.
We did have someone vote for Okja the mutant pig one year.
And made him look bald. Nice.
Interesting that most people who start following me on Substack do so due to recommendations from colleagues. I love that...yet I also wonder if there's a way to organically get followers who don't know my colleagues.

It's awards season, so I'm going to do a lot of quick takes, and not necessarily by release date, since those become a blur this time of year. Today: #Sirat and #Hamnet! lytrules.substack.com/p/quick-take...

Everyone do what they want, “you be you,” but my humble hope is that as many people as possible carry American flags to the Oct. 18 rally. That will make for the images that will most infuriate the Republicans and best sway the moderates.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but the CDC is being eviscerated right now. America is not going to have any kind of outbreak response capacity after tonight. Americans’ health data is no longer secure. Say goodbye to federal public health in any capacity. It’s a disaster. We won’t recover.
According to wikipedia he's "Caius, a combat program and member of Ares' elite special forces unit." I don't remember him in it at all.
Monica Bellucci and Jim Caviezel have done remarkable jobs of staying youthful looking, but credibly twenty years younger, not quite.
I suspect he was a plus-one.
