Yeah, that... that's literally what cyberpunk is. Am I missing something here? Cyberpunk doesn't have any utopian optimism, that would be the opposite of cyberpunk. This writer seems to have no idea what cyberpunk is.

The setting could be described as a grimier, grittier Blade Runner (and without the flying cars or robots). It’s cyberpunk without even the slightest shred of utopian optimism.

I don't feel that way at all. I firmly believe she had every right and reason to fight for her life, by any means at her disposal, just as much as V is doing. I sincerely don't feel she did anything wrong, in fact she was a better person than she even had to be.

I stand by what I've said many times: claiming that mortality makes life meaningful is 100% cope. Calling immortality a curse is cope so hard it's verging on desperate. Dying is bullshit, and aging is the insult on top.

I am suddenly drowning in a feeling I don't have a word for. It's not nostalgia for the past, I just miss feeling like I had a future. I miss being excited for the things that I love. It all feels so pointless. Mortality is a joke. Brevity doesn't create value.
