Color illustration of a spaceship desk, filled to the brim with retrofuturistic tech. The monitors and lights of the panels light up the scene, and the logo of the game can be seen on the screens. Poster style color illustration of An Antidote for Strychnine, a song by The Mountain Goats. It's composed of several panels displaying different images based on the song: lab rats, chemicals, fish bones... Green and blue tones predominate, but the band's name and the song title are written in yellow. Color illustration of a gas filled armored being. The armor is translucent in parts on the limbs and their spherical head, where said gas can be seen. Color illustration of some red slipper lobsters resting atop of a tiled, half flooded floor. The tiles are blue and yellow, with fleur-de-lis flowers drawn on them.

Thus begins the story of the Shepherdess, one of the protagonists of my new comic, Ekphrasis.
Comic page with two panels, showing an antenna on top of a dome. The texts say: "I am a Shepherdess, and my herd is celestial and metallic. The satellites are up above me. Far, far away up in the atmosphere... And here I am, down below. In this island, in this building, in this dome. Far, far away from anything and anyone else."

The comic I'm making is for the Venn diagram intersection of people who get excited to see a cool bug and people who call mechas and other sort of big machines sexy.

I wrote my mothers' name in hiragana and showed it to her, and realized I hadn't done something similar since I was like, five years old.

Please give me work, my plan B if this doesn't work out is to learn to code, and the last thing this world needs is another programmer.

The hull is painted white and red, and technical data about it can be seen on the top left corner. Color illustration, in greenish tones, of Rana temporaria tadpoles swimming on a puddle that has formed over a concrete floor. The shadow of some off-canvas dandelions can be seen too.

Also, in all honesty I tend to find pretty boring when a comic uses too much of those horizontal panels that give it the impression of a collection of animation storyboards.
lurnoise.bsky.social
Been trying to use quite a lot of really vertical panels on this comic because I really like the compositions they make me come up with.
