I’m honored that @fleshandbad.bsky.social asked me to participate in their #fabtcg charity stream to support such an important cause!

If you want to participate, please DM them!

Hey y'all! We are planning on doing a 24-hour charity stream on November 8th to raise money for New Avenues for Youth, an organization that helps queer and unhoused youth. We're looking for other community members/creators to join us for ~hour-ish on the stream!

If you're interested DM us!

I’m in this post and I don’t like it
lupinefiasco.bsky.social
It’s passion either way

Also, Florian’s chill
lupinefiasco.bsky.social
I disagree: Striders is Kano’s identity, not Wizard’s

Cheating a turn cycle makes sense when your hero is missing a turn cycle’s worth of health. Verdance (and Iyslander to a lesser extent) doesn’t have that restriction

LSS changed what a wizard is and Striders isn’t applicable to it anymore
lupinefiasco.bsky.social
It occurred to me that our blessed homeland is a combination of mechanics that don’t overlap while their barbarous wastes is “Wizard,” implying that it takes three separate classes together to achieve Wizard’s baseline

I gotta say I’m beginning to side with the homeland on this one

If Cindra is marked and Flicks herself, she will make a Fealty and remain marked
lupinefiasco.bsky.social
Fun fact! Flick Knives can target any hero, including yourself. Doing so meets the conditions of cards like Blood Splattered Vest, Cut Through, and Mask of Momentum
lupinefiasco.bsky.social
I don’t know if it’s better or worse that Cindra has the option to Flick herself to play around floating prevention
lupinefiasco.bsky.social
Is it a surprise that the top decks are ones with onboard prevention (Earth), healing (Earth again), good armor (still Earth) and uninteractable disruption (wouldn’t you know it, Earth)?

Shoutout to Gravy though, thanks for the triggers

Cindra (and Marionette/Slippy) seems to have been designed with the idea that the question posed by Flick Knives is simple to answer

I’d argue that, as with CYB, the answers we have are bad. “Just draw prevention” isn’t enough when you also need to block at least once to stop a Mask draw every turn
lupinefiasco.bsky.social
Don’t you worry, my “Cindra’s design was greenlit with the idea that Flick Knives asks a simple question but, through no fault of their own, most decks have insufficient tools to answer it” post is coming

My discourse is rated equal opportunity. No meta deck is safe

I was thinking of RKO while reflecting on what I don’t like about Verdance! He feels like the next step of the midrange slop progression in that his current build is a pile of 1-card 4s and 2-card 8s that don’t have real synergy besides “be at a higher life total.”
lupinefiasco.bsky.social
Yes Verdance lives in my head rent free but in my defense I’m an aggro player and there’s a lot of empty room in there
lupinefiasco.bsky.social
Verdance is to #fabtcg as EDH is to MtG

Hasbro saw beloved jank and printed multicolored legendaries with both quest/reward

LSS saw Bullander built on chaff and dreams and printed uninteractable disruption, 2-card 8s that are quest/reward, more finishing power, that all converts on most hand sizes
lupinefiasco.bsky.social
Yes, she’s very good. Too good, some might argue (it’s me, I’m some)
lupinefiasco.bsky.social
You got your combo wizard in LSS’ midrange slop
lupinefiasco.bsky.social
Only if I was right about Storm Striders
lupinefiasco.bsky.social
Idk… Huntsman will beat top 8 Verdances but I have yet to see one win out in the finals 🍃

Verdance absolutely FLYING up the #fabtcg LL leaderboard with 239 points in the Super Slam session which, as a reminder, began just over two weeks ago

Do you think she gets her fourth consecutive expansion slot card next set, or will LSS decide that she’s finally an okay deck?
