You may notice that there are no wax melts on the menu this time-- don't worry, this isn't going to be standard going forward! Just a specific choice for this collection, and who knows, I may decide to add melts later on!

Anyway, with the sadsacking out of the way: I have another book-related collection coming in a couple of weeks, and I'm in the planning/testing phases for expanding my Twisted Wonderland collection, starting with the rest of Heartslabyul.

I don't really foresee things getting easier any time soon (for any of us in the independent creative business), but I'm continuing to plod along as best I can. I appreciate everyone's patience and understanding and never take any of it for granted.

I also can't just give up, because I have bills to pay and pets to take care of, and there are still a lot of things I want to make. I've been really trying to pull myself together the last couple of months and have been slowly planning and making new products while catching up on my order backlog.

I got extremely behind on order fulfillment, 80% because of waiting on supplies, 20% because of being mentally overloaded. I'm very close to caught up now, but I've been feeling stressed and guilty for several months due to how much I've been struggling and knowing I haven't been doing a good job.

For various reasons, both professional and personal (and often one contributing to the other), it's been difficult to... do anything, let alone run a business.

Prices for raw materials are rising, supply chains are getting messed up, the whole world is just A Lot and there's no pause button.

I'm back! Not that I formally announced being gone or anything, but it's obviously been very quiet here for some time.

I'll be super honest, things have been extremely rough lately-- there's a lot of that going around in independent creator circles right now, as I'm sure you've seen. It's grim.

Did I spend 45 minutes making a teeny tiny hockey rink on a 6.5"x1.25" label using the most roundabout methods possible because I never learned how to use this application efficiently? I sure did

So, life has been a comedy of errors for probably a month or so, which has led to me being, like, unacceptably behind on order fulfillment.

Things seem to FINALLY be getting back on track, so I'll be shipping things as fast as I can while also working on this month's collection.

This formula is quite thick, and per my testing, it takes a couple minutes to fully absorb. Once it does, however, there's no heavy, greasy feeling left on the skin, and I found it to be a very smooth and pleasant finish.

Cetyl alcohol is a fatty acid (not the drying kind of alcohol!) that makes the body butter easier to apply, and contributes a nice, silky skinfeel.

And finally, the formula also includes seaweed extract, which is super kind to sensitive skin!

The next star ingredient is panthenol, aka pro-vitamin B5. This is a lovely anti-inflammatory that also promotes skin's softness and elasticity. This plays nicely with the formula's allantoin, which promotes skin cell turnover and is similarly anti-inflammatory.

The highest percentages of moisturizers in the formula are jojoba oil and fair-trade shea butter.

Jojoba oil is satiny and closely resembles skin's natural sebum, which promotes moisture retention, and shea butter is rich in vitamins and minerals and is excellent for dry/irritated skin.

Let's take a closer look at the scents for this collection!
