A little treat for me: Super excited to see Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein again on Friday, this time in 35mm at the @egyptianla.bsky.social!

Drew Struzan was a pioneer in his field. A modern master of the craft, painting with light. His work was always filled with vibrancy. Such a prolific catalog of posters he leaves behind. His final Adventures In Babysitting artwork is still my personal favorite. #RIPDrewStruzan

I love MY FAIR LADY too!

I was born too late (76) to see these first run.

I mean, yeah that’s definitely the way to have done it. What a great core memory.

Nancy Meyers posted her tribute to Diane Keaton on Instagram. And I’m sobbing all over again.

THE SOUND OF MUSIC is a perfect movie. A timeless masterpiece. Seeing it on 70mm was an incredible experience.

At intermission right now. THE SOUND OF MUSIC in 70mm is the best way I’ve ever viewed this film. It’s like seeing it for the first time. My soul ascended in those widescreen musical numbers. Gorgeous. The @academymuseum.bsky.social’s print is absolute perfection.

Diane Keaton was a world class actress & fashion icon. California gal with quintessential New York style. Her films colored our lives: Kay in The Godfather films, Annie Hall, Looking For Mr. Goodbar, Baby Boom, Something’s Gotta Give, The First Wives Club, Shoot The Moon. #RIPDianeKeaton

There’s a scene in #IsThisThingOn where Bradley Cooper offers some keen insight into Kevin McCallister’s post-abandonment psyche in HOME ALONE.

For real though: about to see Bradley Cooper’s #IsThisThingOn

Tron took the IMAX screens in LA too. Hopefully, OBAA can get em back
lulamaybelle.bsky.social
You’re doing the lawds work!

I can’t imagine WB not putting OBAA and SINNERS back in theaters again for award season. But in case they don’t, everyone should see OBAA now.

My movie recommendations for y’all this weekend:

Kiss of the Spider Woman
If in LA/ NYC: If I Had Legs I’d Kick You

…and One Battle After Another, if you still haven’t seen it.

Plus, #MartySupreme houses a career-defining performance by Odessa A’zion.

Josh Safdie’s #MartySupreme makes UNCUT GEMS look like it’s for kiddos. Pure energy. It’s an exhilarating live-wire. Timothée Chalamet is phenomenal as the cocky, fast-talking antihero who just can’t get out of his own way. Gwyneth Paltrow is sublime. Fantastic anachronistic soundtrack & score. 1/2

I’ve been saying Timothée Chalamet like Adam Sandler all day to prepare for tonight’s screening. I’m hyyyyyyped for Josh Safdie’s #MartySupreme.
