What’s next? Some rest.
Some fun side projects.
And most importantly…
👶 Preparing for fatherhood.
This isn’t farewell, it’s just goodbye, for now.
If you ever need a creative dev or frontend brain, my inbox is open 👋
Grateful to @julienLemoine, @NicolasDessaigne, @sylvainUtard & @Kevin_Granger for giving 23-year-old me a chance.
Thank you to every colleague, friend, and mentor along the way.
You shaped me — professionally and personally.
If I could do it all again, I would. 💙
From Paris to SF & London, from silly experiments to serious launches:
🖌️ Drawing canvas with Algolia

👾 AlgoCraft, a 3D voxel world
I was free to create. And I gave it my all energy!
The day has come. After 9.5 years, today marks my last day at @algolia.com 💙
I joined in 2016 as employee #22 and grew from junior frontend dev to senior DevRel engineer.
It’s been an incredible ride, full of passion, growth, and unforgettable memories.
If you’ve missed it, you can watch my demo “From Query to Cube: Visualizing Search in a 3D voxel world”

I talk:
- @algolia.com
- @threejs.org
- Minecraft
- And lots of other things!

Check it out to see a fun and playful Algolia demo!

Lmk what you think!

Hee hee hee! 😂 @lukyvj.bsky.social is up to his usual shenanigans, blowing up search interfaces. 💥

This is for a presentation he's giving at #AlgoliaDevBit on Wednesday.

events.ringcentral.com/events/algol...
Sadly this isn't possible to define, and will most likely be.

However, the one and only @css-only.dev gave us a potential way to achieve that:
Which would make:

```
selector { background: url('foo/1')}
selector.modifier { background: url('foo/2')}
```
There's something I have on my CSS wishlist, idk if it's utopian, but hear me out: Template literals in CSS.

Like:

```
selector {
--a: 1;
background: url(`foo/${var(--a)}`)
.modifier {
--a: 2;
}
}
```

✨I liked AlterTable.ai cards so much that I had to recreate them in #CSS with advanced modern CSS!

Took the opportunity to test out the new CSS if() syntax, the new attr() capabilities, and of course, made a light mode version just because 😁

Oops, it'll be of course 11th & 12th of June 2026! @cssday.nl
Oh look! That's @algolia.com
During the afternoon break, teams attending the conference together get to use our stage to take a group photo. 📸 Some of them even show up in custom matching t-shirts, like the team of Total Onion pictured here. 👕👕👕 Kudos!
PS: The CSS is kinda messy, don't hesitate if you have question!

PS2: I used @\supports not (color: attr(data-color type(<custom-ident>))) {} to create the fallbacks for Firefox and Safari

Here we go, day 2! @chriscoyier.net.

'I knew a Dutch sound guy, once. I knew a Check one, two.'

What a pun to start off with. Anyway, on to Scope in CSS. #CSSDay
Thanks for sharing! Despite following the event on the live stream, I’ll need to dive back on some presentations to get the details! That helps !
