Though his father's Doman eye color is the dominant gene Luciel's eyes are an icy blue as a result of his mother's hoarhound auspice lineage. They glow brightly when he's manipulating aether which initially ostracized him from his classmates at the Imperial Academy #FFXIV #FF14SS

Hoarhounds are descendants of the legendary spirit-beast Fenrir and sometimes one of his offspring will bear his name. So when Luciel, the grandson of a hoarhound auspice, defeated the current Fenrir, the name was given to the pup he formed a bond with in the Wolves' Den. #FFXIV

The Fenrir mount is essentially Final Fantasy Garurumon so an obvious choice! The grandson of a hoarhound auspice, Luciel has a close bond to hoarhounds and after defeating Fenrir he befriended a pup (minion) that can transform into its mount form. Happy Digimon Day!
