A Certified Classic™
Easily one of my favorite games on the PS1.

🟠 The level design, the writing, THE MUSIC, the whole game oozes charm.
⚫ Movement is clunky, and some levels can get EXTREMELY frustrating because if it (I'm looking at YOU, Pools of the Ancient Dead)

After getting all of the Chalices of Souls, Dan's ghost statue in the Hall of Heroes becomes solid.

Also, I got all 9 Life Bottles. It bothers me that they're not centered or that there aren't 2 more to fill the space.

I have beaten more than 50 games this year so far :D
Come check a quick review of them (If I have to beat the whole game again or at least revisit most of the levels for 100% it'll take another spot).
I also take suggestions, especially if they're somewhat short.

50) Castlevania (NES, 1986)

A classic, still awesome!

🟠 The gameplay is simple but fun, the aesthetic is gorgeous and the music is AMAZING!
⚫ It does have its healthy dose of that old school videogame sadistic difficulty at times.

I didn't know about this game until very recently, and I love it!

🟠 Looks really cute and plays really well!
⚫ The final boss overstays its welcome a bit w/o offering too much variety. You just have to do the exact same sequence like 16 times.

Both secret scenes after finding the secret levels.

It probably is, tbh.
I've heard it's not a particularly well paid work nor the people in charge have the best means to check.
I remember a good couple of years where the illustrations' quality was kind of a mixed bag (can't find them online for some reason) so I wouldn't be surprised if it's AI.

I just remembered that my city has two rival football teams whose nicknames are the Wolf and the Lion, and for as long as I can remember, they've been selling almanacs with muscular furry football players in them.

Imagine your grandpa, buying every single year an almanac with a furry hunk.

Hey, I need suggestions for an experiment:
If you were asked to make these characters into furries, what species would you choose?
(The 2nd and 3rd characters are siblings, same with the 4th and 5th so they'll ideally share the same species).

Red Tool does exist, also the alternate Deathstroke who's definitely Deadpool but they conveniently never say his name.
DC has TWO Legally Distinct Deadpools (AFAIK)

It doesn't ask for your login details. Those things ask for "app passwords" which are specific codes created by Bluesky strictly for pairing purposes that can be revoked at any moment.

49) Resident Evil 0 Remastered (PS4, 2016)

Spooky Month begins!

🟠 The whole game has a very... "cozy" vibe I haven't felt since Silent Hill: Origins. It's pretty short but chill and fun. I don't mind the backtracking, tbh.
⚫ That damned Infected Bat boss fight highlights the dated gameplay design.

Rank screen + trophy for beating the final boss.
Final Rank: D because I finished it in 13 hs (backtracked a lot moving all of the items to the beginning of each new location)
