Inktober day18. Hoatzin. Interesting to learn that they eat leaves and have a digestive system somewhat similar to that of a cow's.

Inktober day15. The plan is to finish this one tomorrow.

Inktober day12. Got impatient/frustrated with the first bird, so I ended up doing a bunch of 5min studies afterwards

Inktober day11. Violet-backed starling from reference. Lost control for a couple of swipes at the beak and the top of the head lol. I need to remember to pay attention, especially at such delicate areas.

The vtubing thing doesn't really push it one way or the other, since I mostly listen rather than watch. I find your insight/journey into learning art relatable, so I'm not sure what else or me being male has to do with anything, but that's an interesting statistic.
Inktober day10. Cassowary from reference. Got the ink flow in my brush pen flowing back to normal, especially compared to the last two days.

I guess a secondary definition of permanent means more like "really annoying/hard to get rid of" rather than "impossible to get rid of", like permanent marker.
Inktober day9 (continued from day8). Golden-naped finch. Never thought this was possible with brush pen, but then again I have no idea how to control the ink flow to be so slow. As fun as this was, time to clean it and return to the regular brush pen experience.

Inktober day8. The ink flow in my brush pen has become super slow after just refilling, so I get to live in dry-brush heaven for a while I guess. The plan is to finish this tomorrow

Inktober day7. Brush pen of caracara, fun with dry brush

Inktober day5. The pelican feathers were fun
Inktober day4. Having fun with dry brush
Inktober day3. Black heron and roadrunner
There is also "Drawing People: How to portray the clothed figure" by Barbara Bradley. Definitely my preferred compared to Hogarth or Bridgman. Surprised to not see this book mentioned before the others in the comments here
