I am saying I did not vote for her- opting instead for purity and a third party vote- as did millions of others. Hence the thinking that got us Trump. I will be damned if I am making that decision again.
And racist- and supports genocide. See this is the issue- we have someone who had really troubling positions at one time vs 2 that have really troubling positions now. We also have 7 amd a half months before the primary and people bowing out already and not stepping up.
So far his ground game- absolutely is. He has raised money (which the other 7 candidates that are still in the race havent) put forward policy positions, and been able to attract large overflow crowds. He has also received the Sanders endorsement which is huge here in Maine.
See herein lies the rub. We have Collins Mills or Platner. Platner said and did things he is trying to atone for when he was younger. Mills supports genocide and has had incredibly racist Native American policies- still amd will lose to Collins. Given those choices- who do you vote for?
You know growing up in the long shadow of the city, I was always strangely proud of Chicago (something outside of an occasional visit to or sports allegience) and was kind of embarrassed by Illinois. I moved away almost 20 years ago- and you all are making me proud.
