Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein is a beautifully shot, well made, and stunning version of the oft-adapted horror classic that's done with style and elegance. He's also able to retell the story in his own unique way resulting in a wonderfully written adaptation.

The new Running Man brings King's story to life with bombastic energy and witty humor despite a lengthy runtime and an unnecessary third-act character addition. Still, Powell is great and the close-combat scenes are excellent.

The original Running Man from 1987 is your typical Schwarzenegger film with a memorable turn by Dawson, but suffers from its outdated futuristic 80's look. However, it does have its fans for its dumb action abd timely satire.

Predator: Badlands brings the series lore further while delivering a fast-paced, ultra-cool, highly explosive, sci-fi/action/comedy for the ages. Elle Fanning is great in a dual role, while Tractenberg's direction is once again top-notch.

Black Phone 2 heightens up the terror in an ambitious cross between Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street. The twists and revelations in the second act can be too contrived at times, but it succeeds to tie things up in the exciting and intense finale.
