The idea would be more a cutout then tear thrugh, like they remover a section of skin bone to get down deep into your workings, the size can be the whole chest, or just over a outline of your stars even break up each beast of stars into sections add a little more skin then just over the Stars

What about a dissection tattoo, where it looks like they took off your fresh to reveal your inner workings, now thous inner works can be anything, steam punk, clockwork, or your inner demon side and angel side , both don't have to have the same imagery it the point, I hope this sparks ideas
