Noooooo. Dredd was phenomenal. Get Karl Urban back. Get that whole team back.
Taika Waititi attached to direct a new feature film take on Dredd. Drew Pearce (Fall Guy, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation) to write the script www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie...
I dunno how other writers make playlists for their books but I'm finding throwing a bunch of stuff on a list and then going through it and them repeating until done is a good way for me to do it—and fun!
Used to call Captain Picard "Captain Pikirk" and if you asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, there were several years when my answer would be "the Enterprise."
My first conscious experience is watching an episode of TNG where Data was Sherlock Holmes, but I've been watching Star Trek my whole life.

My parents watched TNG so I watched it with them pretty much since birth (I was born in '89). And I watched reruns of TOS at my grandparents'.
Trekkies: if you see this post your first experience with Star Trek.

In 9th grade, I recorded Star Trek VI from HBO for a teacher and decided to watch it—and was hooked even though I'd never seen an episode of TOS. But I soon caught up on all the TOS and TNG I could get and watched DS9 from day 1.

This year it feels more like the Farce of July.

Fellow Canadians, I'm thinking we should contact our MPs, Prime Minister, party leaders and various cabinet ministers to demand our government stop negotiating with the US. What does it profit to make trade deals with fascists? We should be figuring out how to help vulnerable people. 1/

they can pry the em dashes from my cold dead hands
REMEMBER: All the "Don't use em-dashes" "don't use rule of three" advice because it makes your writing "look like AI" is because they stole actual writers work, and their "predict the next thing" stuff just simulates what WE FUCKING DO. Keep writing well. Use every style and trick you have. Fuck AI.

I have a few hand-sewn creatures available at my Etsy shop. They probably won't devour your soul.

Here's a lovely photo of a plethora of hand-sewn fabric art creatures. There's a watermelon creature with a red face, eight black seed-like eyes, and a wide mouth with five sharp teeth. There's a white ghost trinket bag covered with purple embroidered flowers. She has a gray face, sparkly black eyes and a little frown. There's a strawberry creature with three bulbous green eyes. There's a watermelon ghost, and a black creature with sharp teeth wearing a bulbous eye earring. There's a large purple creature with many yellow eyes and an open mouth, with a little green creature popping her head out. All the creatures are sitting on green fur and there's a galaxy print fabric in the background.

Thinking about the Cave of Hands, some of the art dating back to 7,300BC, where 25% of the hand prints are thought to be that of children. Imagining those people gently holding their child up to the cave walls, and using their tiny little hands as a stencil. Art = love = the human soul

When I met Ryan Coogler several years ago, we were standing in a group of people chatting, when a woman with visible hearing aids walked up, and he casually began to sign the whole conversation so she could participate. She mouthed “thank you”. He nodded and just kept doing his thing.
At least I can take my laptop and go downstairs into the cool air if it gets really bad but my standing desk and everything is up here so I don't usually do that lol.
Every summer I get so angry at whoever built the upstairs to my brother's house because they didn't put a vent in my office so now I have to sit up here without much AC for months.

Video games should be allowed to fail. Video games should be allowed to do just okay. Video games should be allowed to not be instant hits but still find a core audience. And video game developers should not have to get laid off and start over every time they don’t make the next massive hit.
I've got that on standby if the issues continue. I can't really handle hot drinks in hot weather though, so I kinda hope I don't need it.
Tummy issues mean dinner was a bowl of rice with butter and salt. Well, tummy issues and also still fighting with this edit.

The end is in sight though!
