I got a heated, insulated shelter for them, and a gravity-fed feeding bowl and another gravity-fed watering bowl. I spent the morning assembling and setting up.

More on the “Outdoor Black Cat” that has been coming to my home pretty often.

I am still not certain they are a stray. They came by the other day, and when I opened a door to put out food, they sauntered into the house, entirely unafraid, inspected everything, then sauntered back out.

No matter how many times we experience this, it is never not traumatic.

Our culture ties everything; identity, status, healthcare, etc. to jobs. Watching people loose theirs en masse, or being part of the cull is deeply, deeply damaging.
