Bought Redwall to read with my 10 year old. He raced ahead and finished without me but I was so engrossed I had to borrow it. Now working our way through the canon. So yes, definitely holds up!

Ok folks: what is your favorite fact that you share with people (maybe a bit too) eagerly?

I will also point out yet again that it has transformed the women’s game. I suggest moaning men should perhaps watch the Invincibles v Spirit match. Truly world class. Still available on iplayer.

After falling in love with cricket watching the Hundred 4 years ago, my kid joined a club that winter. He played 32 matches this season, which I’ll wager is 32 more than most of the Hundred refuseniks. And yes, he now loves Test cricket too.

It’s that time of year again when I must point out that kids love the Hundred and that cricket has no future without kids. Test match tickets cost upwards of £150. We’re taking the family for less than £100 today to see international stars. T20 blast is a beer fest so we don’t go.

I am very much looking forward to watching kids attempt it all next season

My thoughts exactly. Hilarious that their manager was on the edge of his area throwing balls back once they went down. Too late mate!

My boy reckons it can’t be a nutmeg if one foot of the defender is off the ground. 10 year old rules are harsh.

Standing outside the doors waiting for Brent Cross to open is the closest I ever get to questioning my life choices

He glides in where others huff and puff. Sad he probably won’t be considered one of the greats because of the damned injuries keeping him out so long.

After a very tense day trying to work and listen to TMS I’m off to watch kids’ cricket, which plays with my nerves at the best of times

Well the cricket is going rather well

Over 20 years in London, commuting on Northern Line, amazed it’s taken this long!

No YOU got off the tube at Euston and only realised at top of the escalators that today’s train is from Kings Cross 😬 Now a sweaty mess after sprinting along Euston Rd
