It felt so right to wrap up the 2 rolls of wallpaper that were draw on, doodled on & where many stories were shared for a special person today. As the last thing I gave them I wanted the message to be clear. Their story is important, they are important & they are worthy of love & kindness #tlsw
I’m thinking one of those lovely memorable runs?
Loved my first time at @hayfestival.bsky.social this weekend and especially the inspirational story of @lolayoung.bsky.social

Writing a young persons story today & feeling so grateful to all those that have contributed to it. I will never underestimate the bravery it takes to share treasured items nor the care and thought that goes into collating and storing memories for those growing up separated from 1st families 💝
As we grow and as we understand more, as we meet people and as we hear different stories, what we can tolerate and what we can forgive changes. I do believe that life story work is never and should never be seen as one piece of work and in effect done ✔️
Both my personal and professional experiences teach me everyday that the term ‘life story work’ is not, and should never be viewed as being one piece of work (a life story book, later life letter) or even a planned piece of work that is carried out over a period of time….
Excited to be sharing my box of calming/regulating/grounding resources in one of my sessions next week. Thank you @dr_treisman for your inspiration and knowledge 💞
Love my new trauma resources that arrived today and cannot wait to use them - really appreciate the comprehensive booklet and link to the short films which came with them too. @dr_treisman is so skilled, knowledgeable and generous. Thank you 💞
BBC One - The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse - such a beautiful story and one I will be watching over Christmas as I think about some of the brave and kind children that I have known💙💜 https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0dns5bt

Feeling so inspired by this online workshop presented by ⁦⁦@dr_treisman⁩ - Highly recommend it to anyone wanting to develop their #trauma informed/sensitive/aware/responsive practice in their communication. ...
Lots on twitter about the challenges faced by #socialworkers - its a tough tough job but friendship are a lifeline. 13 years in and I’m still here thanks to some of the most inspirational, caring, kind & knowledgable SW friends I made along the way 💕
The greatest learning I gain is from those I’m privileged to work alongside #NationalAdoptionWeek has given a voice to birth/first parents this yr - it is only when we consider the entire triad impacted by the trauma of #adoption that we can hope to get it right 4 children.
Talking to children about why they cannot or do not live with their first/birth parents or families can be complicated - but making sense of the stories that are told has a lasting and profound impact. Please choose words with sensitivity, compassion, honesty and care #lifestory
Such a simple yet beautiful book - The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse #livecourageously #bebrave #followyourdreams
