Wet Leg at White Oak, Houston, TX: Live review and photo gallery
Between weekends at ACL Fest Wet Leg and Japanese Breakfast were originally set to play separate shows on the same night at Houston's White Oak Music Hall. Instead of splitting the crowd, they combined forces and turned it into one joint show, a mini festival full of shared energy, openers, and a lineup that felt way more special than just a stop between festivals.

Berlin-based Canadian electro-punk legend Peaches has kicked down the door of 2026 early with her new single, ‘Not In Your Mouth None Of Your Business’ — a snarling, sweat-dripping, body-liberating battle cry that reminds the world exactly why she’s still the queen of high-voltage sexual politics.

Self Esteem and Nadine Shah at O2 Academy Brixton: live review and photo galleries
Self Esteem played a sold out O2 Brixton on 10 October. Eight performers arrived on stage, dressed identically as puritans and reminiscent of The Handmaid’s Tale. Tension built till Self Esteem herself strode out to an elated roar from her audience. The Rotheram-born artist opened with ‘I Do And I Don’t Care’, the first track of her 2025 album A Complicated Woman. Self Esteem, aka Rebecca Lucy Taylor, appeared proud and radiant while the 5,000 strong crowd shouted out the lyrics.

Single of the week: Bugeye bite back with ‘This Ain’t A Love Song’ — a savage, synth-soaked kiss-off
Croydon’s queer electro art-rock powerhouses Bugeye are back with a vengeance. As heard on the LOUD WOMEN Radio show on Tuesday, their new single, ‘This Ain’t A Love Song’, out today via their new label home INH Records, is a caustic, glitter-drenched anti-ballad that tells a narcissist exactly where to shove their self-importance.
