If I ever do that I'm getting up and walking out at the end of The Snowman πŸ˜‚
Start now I say. For some reason I re-watched The Snowman the other day (it popped up on YouTube) so I must be feeling the same pull. I kind of want to watch stuff that's Christmas-adjacent (ie. set partly over Christmas but not specifically about it) so I don't peak too early. What will you watch?
Ah excellent, enjoy! Sounds like you've earned it! πŸ™‚
Ugh I'm sorry πŸ™ Hope you have some days off coming up!
Bit late doing it this week, but: #Lastfourwatched It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (1966), The Raven (1963), Young Frankenstein (1974), and The Personal History of David Copperfield (2019). @letterboxd.social #filmsky πŸŽ¬πŸ“½οΈ
Only managed five films for #Shocktober this year: Tales of Terror (1962), The Return of Doctor X (1939), Young Frankenstein (1974), The Raven (1963), and the best one, It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (1966). Technically watched the last one in November but I'm counting it. #filmsky πŸŽ¬πŸ“½οΈ
Very, very true. It's on a few free services so I might put it on again over the next couple of days! Saw it at the cinema when it came out and remember really liking it. This is about the level of horror I can cope with πŸ˜‚
Ooh yeah I like this one too!
I'm very sorry things have been so tough πŸ˜” Do be gentle with yourself. I hope things feel better soon πŸ™‚

1986 to 1991 really were a low point in TOTP title design.
Disproportionately delighted with this birthday gift
But a high point in TV theme tunes.

Ha sorry πŸ˜‚ Would watch though, will add it to the watchlist!
Horror isn't my favourite but I do love that film!
Ah that's a shame! πŸ˜• It's a Mubi one I think so it'll hopefully be on there soon!
Not seen that one I'm afraid, but is The Mastermind showing anywhere near you? Gabby Hoffman is in it for a bit and is good!
Another nice looking tree on my way home the other day.
I'm watching silly, non-scary horrors only this #Shocktober, and tonight I'm re-watching Young Frankenstein (1974) #filmsky πŸ“½οΈπŸŽ¬
Must admit I'm only familiar with The Harrow & the Harvest but it was one of those gigs where not really knowing a lot of it beforehand didn't matter at all.
Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings, on at Manchester Apollo last night, are the figures you can just about make out thanks to the inadequacies of my phone camera. They were very good.
Oh good ☺️ xx
Oh no, hope you're feeling better soon πŸ˜”
#LetterboxdFriday #Lastfourwatched Urchin (2025), Goodbye Mr. Chips (1939), Tales of Terror (1962), and My Father's Shadow (2025). #filmsky πŸŽ¬πŸ“½οΈ @letterboxd.social
After the cinema yesterday I looked in on an exhibition in the gallery called Roots in the Sky. This one is by Joy Labinjo and it's called Love him and let him love you.
