My condolences on the loss of your friend, Ms Nina. I hope her memory is a shining light for you for the rest of your days.
A while back I saw a gen 1 Dodge Neon, seemingly in perfect condition, go down the street, and I'm pretty sure I stopped in my tracks and watched it, mouth agape.

You'd have thought the guy was riding an elephant, by my reaction.
That's heavier rock stuff for me. Once in a while now, but I've gone soft in my middle ages.
In fairness, kids books in general were super weird back then.
...the dog just sleeping through the whole thing.
That is not how that happened at all...
Dean was also ahead of the curve by getting absolutely railed by the major news orgs for basically no reason, to the benefit of Republicans.
I need to get cancelled like that.
It's a mixed berry jam, from everything in the yard that is currently producing berries... So, strawberry, a handful of blueberries, some stray currants and gooseberries, and a bunch of blackberries, and yellow and red raspberries.

A little spoonful in a balsamic-mustard vinaigrette is very nice.
I made a mustard vinaigrette tonight with a bit of this year's berry jam, made from stuff I grew in the yard, and it was pretty great.

I think this year's yard jam is the best yet.
My step-granny got disowned by her family for marrying an Italian immigrant! Stuff was wild, and not even that long ago.
I can't say I know much, but this a cool coin, and I enjoy cool coins. 👍
Happy thanksgiving, Joanna!
That's a cute way of saying "the federal government kidnapped a special needs child".
Well, that's the most shockingly bad take I'm likely to see today. 🫡
I suppose you could parse that depending on what you mean by "literarily interesting", but I personally think Xenophon's Anabasis has to be up there.
Man, 5 weeks without a day off is quite a stretch! Hope you get to do pretty much nothing today.
Shooting down helicopters is my favorite part of most Battlefield games.
It's always wild to me on days like today (warm, pleasant, sunny, beautiful) that within the next few months this area could be a 20 below zero snowy-ass wasteland.

Got to enjoy this shit while it lasts.
The lord in question:
For me, I find it's best not to fight it too much. Like, sure, get your stuff done. But also, invite the monster inside. Get it some cookies. Make some tea. Make it cozy spot.
Hope you stay feeling decent, Sanho! I stayed COVID-free until last year, and it caught me pretty hard, even with many vaccinations. Hoping to avoid it this year!
