So Long Summertime!

Admiring the sunset is wondrous. Admiring the last sunset of summer is bittersweet. Admiring a faux sunset that is actually a tennis ball is a reminder that every season can end on a high note.

Sunny, who never met a bouncy ball he didn’t like, seizes the last day of summer with a round of tennis. And with a whap from his racket, he bids adieu to the season with a smile. Goodbye summer. See you around!

Sunny Joiette, the funny, honeyed curio-cubby, has a vision for a voyage.

First, he selects a sardine tin to serve as a Sunny-sized boat.

Then he gathers a wooden spoon for a mast and some twine to use as rigging.

Next, he collects a blanket to use as sail cloth.

Lastly, after assembling his collection, he enjoys a ride in his makeshift sailboat.

Exercising on the shoreline of SavartDior, Sunny Joiette, the funny honeyed curio-cubby tends to his health and happiness by practicing some strength training.

Substituting traditional fitness weights for pails filled with beach sand, he performs several reps of bicep curls.

Upon completing his wellness regimen, he strikes an iconic bodybuilder pose by flexing both arms, and with his fists by his shoulders, he contracts his biceps to reveal the contours of his toned muscles.

Seated on a grassy knoll, Sunny Joiette enjoys a slice of summer fruit.

Little by little, nibble by nibble, he savors each bite, until he’s left with just the rind and seeds.

Then, selecting two seeds for eyes and the watermelon rind for a grin, he arranges them into a picture-perfect summer smile.

Utilizing his Autjoie Livìng praxis, Sunny Joiette applies his creative talents to his meal making practices.

With spatula in hand, and a nod to traditional painting techniques, he spreads fromage à la crème to mimic ocean waves upon a slice of toast on his easel.
He adds some teeny-tiny star shaped banana pieces to mimic starfish.
And for the pièce de résistance, he adds a dusting of ground cinnamon and granulated sugar to imitate sparkling sand. The end result?
A yummy merry meal.
