Jamie turned away, angry with everything and everyone, but mostly with himself.
He had believed Yvette's words without a single doubt; how couldn't he, when she had been the only one who was there for him?

Jamie knew more than anyone what he had done; he had spent years carrying that guilt with him.
Seeing Lèonie alive had made him feel relieved, but the guilt was still there, not forgotten.

The walls were raised again and Lèonie pushed Jamie away from her.

And then, Lèonie remembered that fateful night.
She saw herself, lying on the cold ground and bleeding out, while Jamie ran away from her.
He had left her, alone and broken, without turning back.

For some time, they stayed lost in each other's eyes.
There was no need to say anything, just looking at each other was enough.
But then, Jamie spoke.

Jamie got closer and, delicately, held Lèonie's face in his hands.
He was still wondering if she was a ghost and he needed to touch her, to feel she was real and not a vision.
Jamie: I can't believe it... it's really you...

Lèonie spent a few seconds in silence without looking at him but, when she finally turned to face him, her eyes were like icicles.

Jamie wondered if she also noticed it; if she also felt a shiver down her spine at the contact, or if it was just him.

Unconsciously, Jamie walked closer and the familiar scent hit him like a punch to the gut.

There was no mistake; no one in the whole world smelled like her.

Jamie: ... Lèo?

He had dreamed about that face hundreds of times, old moments replaying time and time again inside his head like a movie, reminding him of the way he had lost her.

Lèonie couldn't be there. It was impossible.

Lèonie was dead. Jamie had killed her.
