I'm still amazed that I made Erika watch the movie Freaked on our first date, and even though she hated every minute of it, she still ended up marrying me :)

say what you will about using llms for coding tasks, but creating a bash script on the fly to help organize all the bandcamp albums I just bought and get them ready for my plex server has been a breeze

Feels like a supermarket sweep run to find all the artists I forgot to wishlist on bandcamp and support them today

The bronze statue depicting the eponymous cybernetic star of Paul Verhoeven’s 1987 set-in-Detroit sci-fi satire was installed in Eastern Market on Wednesday, nearly 15 years after someone proposed it in a viral social media post.

My kids are 3 and 11 y/o. I've been like, "when are they going to play together?" And now they finally play together, and now I wish they'd stop! 😩 They're so loud.

You can watch the documentary about Echosynthetic Fest, Atlanta's first(and only) synthwave and retro electro music festival, for free on Tubi. Lots of great folks and great music here. A real snapshot of the state of the Atlanta synth scene and synthwave in general!
Connected (2017)

Feels like it's going to take forever to get caught up on One Piece. I'm only about 270 episodes deep! 😅

Finally getting some time to play through Wizordum and having a blast. Definitely reminiscent of those good old first person games from the 90s. Tons of fun!

I loved Head Lopper, and that Double Dragon 2 inspired cover has been hooked. This is going to be great!

Newest Town Portal is good. Feels a little subdued compared to their previous stuff but still brings that sweet mathy post-metal sound

Spent the last day getting my desktop setup with a new layout. Installed Borders and Yabai to tile/style my windows. Hid the dock (I always use spotlight anyways). Switched to Alacritty for my terminal, and then used tokyo neon theme for just about everything. Feeling productive with this setup!

Glad to see that schismtracker works well in Omarchy.
And still amazed that I remember all the commands from using screamtracker 30 years ago 😅

I'm loving the look and feel of Omarchy. Everything's kind of in the same neon tokyo theme that I normally use for everything, so I feel right at home.

Not gonna lie, but the new Steam Machine does look pretty tight. And those controllers look nice.

I see Omarchy is the new hotness in the distro world. Going to try to install it on my old macbook air and see how it goes. Otherwise, I'll just probably put Mate on it :)

on a whim, I decided to try and see if claude could help build a drum machine and I'm kinda blown away. I used astro + react for the ui, and tone.js for the sounds. we built a poly-rhythmic drum machine and it actually works pretty well!
