I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Although close to the hustle and bustle around the Houses of Parliament, it felt like an oasis away from it all. The beer choice was top drawer, the decor stunning, and the atmosphere made it easy to settle in. Highly recommended.

Sam Smith’s pubs are a bit like marmite, I’m firmly a fan. This is a jaw-droppingly beautiful spot; while not everything is Victorian, you still get a sense of what a mid-19th-century pub might have felt like. I loved it here — the windows alone are worth the visit. #samsmiths

Visiting The Eagle was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The two highlights were the excellent service and the strong community feel. Add to that the Truman’s heritage and striking Victorian architecture, and this place truly screams London pub. Top notch, get it on the list.

The Raven has history, tradition and plenty of charm. Price point was a bit punchy, but the beer was on point, the food will please most, and the surroundings are comfortable. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

If the dictionary had a picture next to the word “boozer,” it’d be The Blakesley Arms. I loved it,cheap pints, friendly crowd, no pretence. A bit rough around the edges maybe, but that’s what makes it so good. Not many like this left in London. Stick it on your list. #westham

This was my last pub to visit in Palmers Green, N13. This North London enclave used to have thirteen pubs but now only has five. It’s a proper locals’ pub with sensibly priced pints and a penchant for sports. I enjoyed my time here — well worth a look if you’re in the area. #pub

This is a belter of a backstreet boozer. Proud as punch on its corner, warm and welcoming inside, and great to see a bar billiards table. Great beers, friendly service, and plenty going on at the weekend. Loved it here — whack it straight on your must-visit list.

This place has had its ups and downs in recent years, but it feels properly back on track now—well run and a welcoming local hub. It’s a cracking spot for a pint: the Guinness hit the mark and didn’t break the bank. Service was bang on, the atmosphere relaxing, worth a look.
