Marta picked the ball up legit 25 yards from the Orlando endline, and was taken down for a game-killing penalty without having to pass.

There are 2 different bursts of speed in here, and she has to go wide (adding extra distance) to do it.

Like I realise it was bad enough for both club and country teams to discipline her over, but a high performance environment would have standards that sometimes a developing brain would just… freak out in. I shudder to imagine my own 21yo self trying to cope lol 😩

The thing is, i suspect there’s not that much to the “behavioural issues” with Hampton in 2022. Having worked with 21yos for the last ten years they can sometimes just be annoying! And then they grow out of it! End of! Which is why what Earps has done is so cringe 😬😭
