If believing in signs, the "miracle" of his murder attempt, combined with Biden metastasizing cancer timing sounded like God's hand.

Putin sacrificing 1 million lives with at least timing meant to help Trump (Hamas+ Netanyahu also tipping scale).

History is a mix of flukes, agency and amnesia.

Anything wrong with having the National Guard on standby for state duty in the unlikely case there is any incident where law enforcement needs help (I would worry more about provocators than participants)?

Those schticks could be interesting at other times in history (you can respect Reagan switch), or if they became genuinely independent.

But those basically started to do GOP bidding as it became a Trump/fascist movement, and that tells something about them, not anything about Democrats.
