I’ve seen posts claiming this “truth” is evidence of dementia, but IMO that’s not the right frame. This is strategy. Since 2021, the right has been rewriting history, bending timelines, to connect their grievances (Covid) and conspiracy theories (Jan 6, censorship, etc) to the Biden administration.
joycewhitevance.bsky.social
That’s a nice trick, since Biden wasn’t the president on Jan 6.

That’s tough!! And not what you should be worrying about!

I don’t really understand the people who think we shouldn’t situate the current moment in context of the last 25 years in American politics, including the actions of the three Democrats who were president during that time

Today, I'm grateful for "Office Hours," a podcast supported by the Biomedical Engineering Society. Host Liz Wayne @lizwaynephd.bsky.social is doing tremendous work here. I especially enjoy the discussions surrounding why Liz and her guests have chosen careers in academia (1/2).

Mississippi lawmakers allowed Amazon to bypass regulatory approval for energy infrastructure to serve two data centers it is spending $10 billion to build.

It's part of a trend in states rushing to capitalize on the AI-driven data center boom.

This is such a good question.

Mamdani posters in apartment and shop windows. Pride flags hanging on balconies and in apartment windows. Not being the lone masker at work, on mass transit, in grocery stores, and other public places. Existence of mutual aid groups, community fridges, and free stores.

Skype a Scientist does not allow kids to email scientists directly bc it's obviously risky, so it's verboten. It shocks me how often I get emails from middle/HS kids asking me to meet bc of an assignment. It's good to trust scientists in GENERAL, but not like this! We are internet strangers!
