Day 12, the water strider (or pond skater?) who saves lives! Some of the remaining bugs for this I see almost no one draw. It makes it hard to know what's the 'correct' way to anthro these creatures. Hopefully these will show people of sorts of new cool bugs.

Day 12, it's the firefly who doesn't like the light! Did you know in most firefly species the female is wingless and resembles a larva... except ones found in Japan. I totally knew that when I first made this character and didn't get lucky. I hope the Japanese text is good!

Day 11, it's the silverfish who cleans your messes! A design I'm not that happy with it, but they can't all be winners. If I ever draw her again, she'll probably get a heavy redesign. Unrelated to that, I saw a silverfish for the first time this year. They're TINY.

Day 10, it's the owlfly private eye! Best way I can describe an owlfly is it's like a fuzzier dragonfly. This guy flip-flopped being multiple Neuroptera species before landing on an owlfly (apparently a lacewing detective has a series of books). Wild, huh? Also don't smoke, kids.

Day 9, it's the mosquito who LOVES blood. An old character meant to be a one-off but I got too attached to. Her design is somewhat inaccurate due to her proboscis being her "nose" but that smile is lovable. One can argue her "mouth" is just some pattern. Devious looking culex.

Day 8, it's the cute cat (earwig)! I always wanted to do a bug who's insecure about their buggy appearance and tries to be one of those mammal things people love so much. As to why I picked a earwig, I don't know, was a spur of the moment thing. You don't see them often though.

Day 7, it's the damselfly who loves to fly! Our first bug that's a dude in a sea of women. I personally have more fun drawing girls but I still wanted some bugs to be male. Damselfly themselves are very fun creatures. Their big eyes are lovely. A bit late due to pain, sorry!

Fifth Day, it's the mantis who's looks like she's seen better days. This character was originally a groundskeeper for a cemetery but making her a florist gave some nice contrast with her drab design. As to why she's French, I don't know, but I feel like it fits.

Fourth Day and it's the moth everybody loves. The pellucid hawk moth is my favorite insect ever but I can't say I have ever been happy with Malina's design which is why I tweak her a lot. Glad you all love her though. She loves all of you.
