One of my last hurdles to transition was knowing I’d do it even if it meant losing my grandma. I did, & most of the rest of my family. Dad was always great, but he’s gone. And yet. I’m having Friendsgiving with found family today, & am so thankful. Family is more than blood or a name. It’s a choice.
