Resources & Reflections for Sunday: liturgy.co.nz/19-october-2...

Everliving God,
conform our wills freely to yours,
and direct our hearts
to share your glory by our undivided service;
through Jesus Christ,
who is alive with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen.

O God,
we pray that your grace may always precede and follow us,
that we may continually be given to good works;
through Jesus Christ,
who is alive with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen.

Premature Rapturists who claim that the Rapture on the Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah) can move from 22 September to 7 October because of going from the Julian to Gregorian Calendar simply don't understand the Jewish Calendar is tied to the Lunar Cycle and begins on New Moon!

I don't know where you are getting your second sentence from. As for your last: that's not a worry of mine.

Yes. The Rapture isn't mentioned in the Bible - it's made up in C19. I don't know exactly what "the Bible wasn't true" means- is the story of the Lost Sheep true? finding enlightenment and the freedom to live a Love-centered life is one of the best summaries of Jesus' good news I've seen. Blessings.

What do we/you do with/for those left behind who were convinced about the Rapture? For many this is the snapping point to atheism & leaving following Jesus. How can we help people to make it a point of deepening faith and moving to a more intelligent, maturer spirituality?
