สิ่งที่รอดชีวิตจากพิธีโคโดกุ สามารถนำไปใช้ได้หลายประสงค์ หนึ่งในนั้นก็คือนำมันไปเผาไฟและใช้วางยาในอาหารของเป้าหมาย เมื่อคนนั้นรับประทานเข้าไป วิญญาณร้ายจากพิธีโคโดกุจะเข้าสิงร่างและทำร้ายทันที บางครั้งอาจสามารถกระทั่งทำให้ถึงแก่ชีวิตได้

โคโดกุ เป็นพีธีกรรมที่มาจาก กู่ ของประเทศจีน 
วิธีทำก็คือผู้ทำพิธีจะต้องนำสัตว์มีพิษมาขังไว้ในโหลเดียวกัน และรอจนกว่ามันจะฆ่ากันเองจนเหลือตัวสุดท้าย เชื่อกันว่าสัตว์ที่รอดชีวิตคือตัวที่อันตรายที่สุดและเก็บคำสาปชั่วร้ายของความคั่งแค้นไว้รุนแรงที่สุด

It can be use for several purposes. One of those is using as poison by burning, and mixing the insects into targets’ meal. When they consume, the evil spirit of kodoku will control them, this will cause them suffering, or even kill them.

About Kodoku

Kodoku is derives from Chinese magic Gu. The ritual to create kodoku is locking up several insects in a jar, and let them fight each other until only the last surviver remain.
The last one will be the most dangerous, and bear the most evil curse inside.

In Chinese chronicle occurs poisonous birds called ‘Zhen’.
The birds were told that they feeds on serpents,
so their body is all poisonous until feathers.
Even the Chinese symbol 鸩 (zhèn) itself also means poison.

ในตำนานจีนโบราญมีนกชนิดหนึ่งเรียกว่าเจิ้น
