💀 Spooky month TBR 🎃

October means it’s time to lean into all things dark, chilling, and a little uncanny 👻📚

Some classics, some horror, some apocalyptic mayhem—basically the perfect mix for a haunted October. 👀🍂

Which one should I start with first?

Did you know about the IRL Halloween tree at Disneyland?

On the 35th anniversary of Bradbury’s novel, an oak in Frontierland was given a makeover of orange lights and hand-painted jack-o’-lanterns. Bradbury said “I’m glad I’m going to be a permanent part of the spirit of Halloween at Disneyland.”

I really knew nothing about it, but I saw it mentioned several times as having some of the most amazing prose, so when it popped up for a cheap price I thought hey, it must be a sign!

Remembering F. Scott Fitzgerald on his Birthday (Sept 24)

He said:
"That is part of the beauty of all literature. You discover that your longings are universal longings, that you’re not lonely and isolated from anyone. You belong."

✨📚 Happy Hobbit Day! 🍂🐇

Which book would you take with you to read in the Shire?

In 1978, the American Tolkien Society declared a fabulous holiday: Hobbit Day. September 22nd is Hobbit Day because it is the day of Frodo and Bilbo's mutual birthday 🎂
