In some of the world's worst timing, my graphic novel came out today. 3.5 years of hard work to bring one of my scripts to life and it turned out beautifully. Please consider buying a copy for the kids in your life.
Being a parent is hard. Being a special needs parent is infinitely harder. I am tired.
I make 'ice cubes' of crushed garlic or chopped herbs in oil if I have too many. You're half Ukrainian too aren't you? I swear all my relatives do these things!
I use everything or freeze it too. Nothing gets thrown out! Wilty veggies go into stir fry, soup or a homemade pizza topping. All leftovers go in the freezer if they don't get eaten in 2 days. I even freeze wilting lettuce and throw it in soup later!
I made her a vegetarian one with chick peas last night. She's not vegetarian, we just have a million dried chick peas I need to use up and I needed to get creative 😂
You'll have to duke it out with my 16 year old who is obsessed with it!
I think it was one of the best meals I've ever eaten! I'm doing a pantry/freezer challenge to use things up and this was a win.
I just made chicken teriyaki from scratch. Little known fact about me, I'm an excellent cook.
Yep, you can nominate yourself and others (as many people as you want). I always nominate all my favorite scripts I've read from the past year.
I know a lot of you have read Save the Amazon in the past year if anyone wants to nominate me and find this quirky little LGBTQ mockumentary about TV fandom a home.
#scriptsky / #filmsky community

We are excited to announce that the submission portal for the 2026 Grey List is NOW OPEN!!

Head over now and nominate the best scripts you've read from writers over 40 (that includes yourself).

Ha, didn't you go on a luxury yacht cruise together in the spring? Or did all the seasickness block it from your memory?
I didn't get it last time or this time!
I don't mind now, we're cozy at home making blueberry crumble and about to start a new show.
I have no mind's eye so if my timeline gets complicated I need a way to keep track of it. When I was writing Present since they was jumping around inside her instagram photos I have to really strategize.
I draw flow charts for complicated time travel movies.
My husband and daughter are sitting behind me right now watching this show 😂
First day of daylight savings. I went to the indoor wave pool and boogie boarded in a sunbeam from the skylight. Less hours of daylight = making the most of the ones I have.
Space heater, tea and a blueberry vanilla mug cake in my writing shed. Writing as much as I can before it's time to go swimming with my daughter and friends.
It's tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime!!
This is the plan for the next 3-4 months lol.
Tomorrow begins the hibernation I have been planning with a friend. It will include:
-a trip to IKEA to buy candles
-soup
-so many books
-locking in to some feature drafts
-cleaning my basement
-binge watching shows on an exercise bike
-swimming
-avoiding anything I don't like
I had to make a separate feed for people who don't post a lot of political content because this place is supposed to be for seeing my writer friends, not increasing my anxiety. I check the actual news once a day, then I protect my peace.
Well not me, you always get my Pampers drafts!
