Minor point, but I picked this up in another post about the demolition for djt's princess room - couldn't Mr. "America First" have insisted that his destruction team use an AMERICAN machine instead of a Volvo?

Thou shalt not support a man who bulldozes the White House to build himself a golden ballroom whilst the government is shut down because he doesn’t want the financial records tying him to Jeffrey Epstein to come out.
I'd settle for "We will scrape all the gold crap off the walls of the Oval Office!"
Who breaks open the wall of a building in mid-October? I live in central PA where it's to get into the mid-thirties at night for the next week, along with a LOT of wind from Canada!
I wonder who decided to break open the walls for a construction project in mid-October! I don't know about DC, but up here in central PA, the night-time temps are starting to drop into the mid-thirties, and it's supposed to be windy for the rest of the week, with the air coming down from Canada!
Hmm. I must have imagined wearing a cat inflatable and holding a sign in front of the courthouse in my hometown this weekend. Problem is, I have pictorial proof! And yes, I AM (or thought I was) crocheting while demonstrating!
One of the tenets of neo-classical/Georgian architecture is SYMMETRY. For someone with a real estate background, djt seems unaware of this concept. The pictures I've seen suggest that the princess ballroom will be as big as the current footprint of the WH but off to one side!
Wait, what??? Surely there's some sort of commission that has to approve changes to historically important buildings. With his background in real estate, doesn't he realize that one principle in architecture of that time was symmetry? His princess ballroom destroys the symmetry of the PEOPLE'S House
Hmm. Most of the protests I knew about were before noon (local time). I'm not sure how that would interfere with watching a football game unless you were supposed to be there in person. Some games were even played in the late afternoon or in the evening to accommodate TV or radio broadcasts!
And according to a story on NPR, part of the reason the population was impacted may well be the gutting of NOAA. Weather stations around the country were closed or suffered a reduction in funding that meant they couldn't send up weather balloons as they used to, leading to less info to input!

DC J6: 1.500 arrests
DC No Kings: zero

Tell me again which side is violent?
And small towns too - don't forget us!
Two? One is egregious enough, but what is the rationale for TWO???
And to say "your mother" in answer to a journalist's question about whose idea the proposed Budapest summit between djt and Putin is????
Wearing an inflatable cat costume (as in "crazy cat lady" tyvm VP JDV!) at the protest at my county seat in ruby red central PA. The few, the proud - too bad the Marines already have that motto!
And we're doing it in thousands of places across the country because we LOVE the USA. btw, I'll be in an inflatable cat costume at the Juniata County protest. Thank you VP JDV for giving me the idea!
Big AND small. Here in PA, the airports in Pittsburgh and Harrisburg are both NOT showing "DHS Barbie" and her hateful video. Harrisburg is called HIA, but it's not exactly "international". I'm sure there are others that I haven't heard about.
Exactly what I said to a friend from high school who insists on saying that it's a "peace plan" and that (djt) ended the war. Nope. It's a ceasefire that Israel is already tearing to pieces!
Just ordered an inflatable cat costume (as in "crazy cat lady") which is supposed to be delivered Friday!
